Henny the Unicorn: The Little Horse With a Very Big Heart

Every so often, a story comes along that makes you smile from ear to ear. This one begins with a miniature horse called Henny; a pint-sized unicorn with a rainbow mane, twinkling eyes, and a knack for bringing happiness wherever he goes. Henny isn’t just a local mascot in Shorne, Kent. He’s a bonafide celebrity with millions of TikTok views, a diary packed with appearances, and now - wait for it - his very first sponsorship deal. Not bad for a 7hh American miniature horse with a love of glitter.
From Worry to Wonder - Just a year ago, things didn’t look quite so sparkly. After car troubles forced owner Claire Economou to sell her trailer and the sudden loss of her web designer meant both her websites disappeared overnight, Wish Upon a Pony — the business Claire had lovingly built — was hanging by a thread. “I honestly thought about giving up,” Claire admits. “But when you see the way people light up around Henny, you realise you just can’t take that magic away. ”So instead of bowing out, Claire poured her energy (and savings) into converting a van into Henny’s very own unicorn chariot. With the help of her dad, she got the wheels rolling again — and Henny was back on the road. Since then, the little horse has gone from strength to strength. His rainbow-tinted locks (created with safe, washable chalk) have made him a social-media darling, racking up over four million TikTok views. This year, Wish Upon a Pony has been named a finalist in two national awards: The Equestrian Business Awards and The Animal Star Awards. To top it all off, Henny has just trotted into his first ever sponsorship, proudly partnering with Cavallo Hoof Boots. “They’re sending him four boots worth over £200,” says Claire with a grin. “We’re so chuffed — it feels like a real milestone.”
Meeting the Mayor - As if that weren’t enough, Henny recently welcomed a very special visitor: the Mayor of Gravesham Borough.

Arriving at the stables to show her support, the Mayor met Henny (rainbow mane perfectly fluffed for the occasion) and praised the joy he spreads throughout the community. For Claire, it was a moment that brought everything full circle — from nearly closing her business to standing proudly beside the Mayor with her unicorn by her side.
Unicorn Dreams Come True - Wish Upon a Pony now offers everything from storybook visits and woodland walks to champagne celebrations, school visits, and even weddings. Whether it’s a child meeting a unicorn for the very first time or a care home resident enjoying a moment of pure wonder, Henny has a gift for making people happy. “Henny is more than just a miniature horse,” says Claire. “He’s a bringer of joy.” And looking at his rainbow mane, his cheeky sparkle, and his long list of fans — it’s hard to argue with that.
Equipassion UK Verdict: Henny proves that even in the darkest moments, a little unicorn magic can go a very long way.
